Officials: More Than 3,000 Doses Seized In Oxycontin Bust

LOCKBOURNE, Ohio—Two people were arrested on New Year’s Eve, accused in connection with an Oxycontin bust.

Central Ohio authorities arrested 58-year-old Linda Mae Sales and 54-year-old Harvey Carl Bussey and charged them with possession of drugs—a felony of the first degree, NBC 4 reported.

Officials said that during a search of a home on Landis Street in Lockbourne, officers found numerous amounts of prescribed pills and more than 3,000 unit doses of Oxycontin and Oxycodone.

A large amount of cash was also seized and the evidence was impounded at the Columbus police property room.

According to officials, the investigation involved the South Central HIDTA Drug Task Force which is comprised of officers from the Franklin County Sheriff’s office, Columbus Division of Police, Gahanna Police Department, Pickerington Police Department, Drug Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, ICE, U.S. Postal Service, OOCIC and the IRS.
