COLUMBUS, Ohio—A dispute between neighbors ended in a shooting early Thursday, police said.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was called out to the 1900 block of Denune Avenue on the city’s North Side close to 1:30 a.m.

Earsell Jimmy Brown, 30, was disputing with his neighbors outside his apartment: neighbors were banging on his door and threatening him, CPD said.

Brown became agitated, stepped outside with rifle and started firing his weapon at the neighbors, police said in a report.

Enrique J. Curry, 30, was shot twice, according to CPD.

Curry was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Brown was arrested and was charged with felonious assault.

I appreciate your friendly advise, yet that is my texting style, and that is how i type from my mobile phone.  i am sure that most will get it. if not than they should probably just comment on the article.  this is a comment not a term paper.

Maumi,

I think you also meant “you” and not “u”, “are” and not “r”, “one” and not “1”, “to” and not “2”, “who” and not “whom”, “their” and not “thier”...

Is it really that hard to type two extra characters? If it takes you an extra five seconds of “hunt-and-peck” typing, it cuts the time to read that garbage in half.

Please lay off the AOLbonics and spell it out. Then, maybe people will actually read your comments with an understanding that there might be some intelligence behind them.

Just friendly advice here.

Thanks!

haha..first of all fixfireleo.. how do u consider that when u r the 1 that addressed me??? (hmmmm???)
secondly i simply do not get pleasure with bringing misery upon people by trying to go out of my way 2 degrade them.
lastly i stated a fact and gave a compliment in one short compliment.

therefore, i wonder whom is going out of thier way 2 disagree (i have never addressed u 1st) especially since this “is” a place 2 express yourself freely without having 2 drag misery loes company into it. (meaning you dont have 2 go out of your way to personally address individuals whom are exprssing themselves)

Oh by the way I am sorry u felt the urge to attack Donna because she made it..giggle..giggle…I’m just playN!! ;0)

Maumi…i believe you go out of your way to disagree with people, especially me.  if i said the sky was blue, you would say, well at night its black.  cant you allow someone to have an opinion without sticking your 1/2 cent worth in?  did you take journalism?  i doubt it…so you dont know how to report.  i do.  and an omission of facts is just as big a sin as falsifying facts.

Keep up the good work Donna. I can only imagine how hard it is to gather any facts.  I have nothing but respect for the fact that you print what you know rather than filling in the gaps with what you believe may be true.  When my brother died, channel 4 was the only channel that told the facts that they knew and I am forever greatful for that. :0)

i just want to say that i also am very disappointed in donna’s reporting ability.  what ever happeded to “the 5 W’s and H”??  if certain ‘trivial’ details are unavailable (such as what the altercation was about) the why not SAY “details about the cause of the altercation are unavailable.“??  at least that way we know reporter doesnt just totally suck!  and i wouldnt make this comment except this is the UMPteenth story that lacks important details.

disputing is in the dictionary.

intransitive verb
: to engage in argument : debate ; especially : to argue irritably or with irritating persistence
transitive verb
1 a: to make the subject of disputation <legislators hotly disputed the bill> b: to call into question <her honesty was never disputed>
2 a: to struggle against : oppose <disputed the advance of the invaders> b: to contend over <both sides disputed the bridgehead>
— dis·put·able \di-ˈspyü-tə-bəl, ˈdis-pyə-\ adjective
— dis·put·ably \-blç\ adverb

Mike is correct.  Legally the guy should have stayed inside his place and called the police.  IF the neighbors that he was “disputing” with (sheesh) broke through the door, then he can open fire in self defense.  Going outside in this case was stupid, and firing at his neighbors at that point will likely land him in the slammer.
