COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police arrested a 21-year-old man who is a suspect in two recent campus crimes.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Officers arrested Jeffrey York Sunday morning and said he faced aggravated robbery charges.

A male reported being abducted at gunpoint from the area of East 15th Avenue and North High Street at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The victim was forced into a black vehicle and shown a black automatic firearm and a black revolver, police said.

The victim was taken to the city’s East Side and forced to withdraw money with his ATM card, police said. He was released later near South James Road and East Main Street.

CPD Sgt. Shaun Laird said York also was a suspect a second armed robbery that happened early morning last Friday.

Two pedestrians were robbed while walking on South Fourth Street, police said.

His photo was not released currently as detectives were working with other robbery victims.

There was another armed robbery that led to a campus crime alert last Tuesday. A male and a female reported they were robbed at the corner of King and Hunter avenues at about 11:10 p.m.

York was not a suspect in that crime currently, Laird said. Anyone with information was asked to call CPD at 614-645-4545, campus police at 614-292-2121, Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS or University Crime Stoppers at 614-247-TIPS.
