MADISON TOWNSHIP—A vehicle hit a tree and split in two in a crash that killed a teen driver Thursday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Olaju Green, 18, of Canal Winchester was driving eastbound on Winchester Pike east of Ebright Road at about 10:13 a.m.

The Franklin County sheriff’s office said Green drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Green’s vehicle was pulled from a ditch before 11 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Green was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The sheriff’s office’s accident-investigation squad was called to the Southeast Side scene.

Authorities closed Winchester Pike between Shannon and Bachman roads during the accident investigation.

Alcohol was not suspected currently, and a seat belt was in use.

Weather was not a factor.

The crash remained under investigation.

Im sorry for jumping to conclusions it had said a comment has been deleted by nbc and then someone else has said he made a threat. I was just wondering what it was. I do not want to start anything but these comments need to stop. Those who did not know Oj should not be sayign mean and rude things. His family gets on here and reads these comments. His family and friends were at the scence last night and we had a candel light ceremony for him. Let him Rest In Peace! Leave him alone! Yes he had a med condition but they didnt think it was that serious! Things happen accidents happen all the time. It wasnt too long ago were another teenager was killed in a car accident. He fell asleep at the wheel. Dont blame Oj for this. He is gone now and will be missed by many! For those who know Oj,defend him in every right! ~Alaina~ LOVE OJ RIP!

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of this beautiful young man.  I did not know OJ or his family but it is obvious from the outpouring of loving comments that he was a wonderful person.  It is quite a shame that the world will never get the benefit of seeing what positive things he was capable of doing in the future.  I pray that his family will have the strength to endure the coming days.  It is a tragedy that his family and this world was robbed of the light that he obviously had to add to the world.  Lord knows that it needs it.

To “same” - to answer your question, NO, Gabe Speigel was not involved in THIS accident.  He was the passenger in the truck driven by a drunk who killed the cyclist in Hilliard.

Just keeping it real.  ABC remains silent on this fact.  They reported the accident briefly, but left their anchorman’s name out of it.  It figgers - only reporting 1/2 the news.

To this story, I read about it in the paper this morning.  My heart goes out to the family.

First off all, this young man’s family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers. I can’t imagine burying my son.. secondly, I’ll apologize to the family and friends that have read some of the comments on here..it’s rather obvious that some people can’t spell “class”, let alone show some..

people like sadcity and landru are only looking for attention and you people are giving it to them. when someone says something immature and ignorant dont feed in to it because they dont care what you say. ignore them next time because i garuntee as soon as something else tragic happens they will makes another comment thats going to have everyones blood boiling.if you dont feed into it made they will have the sense to keep the horrible comments to themselves. hopefully God will bless them and they will realize what they said was wrong when they lose someone they love.

I really do not want to turn this into a war between the many many good and the very few ugly but I do want to say one thing. To sadcity and landru I hope you are both ashamed of what you have said. I am not sure how old you are but I hope you know how much of a disgrace you truly are to humankind. Most people have lost a loved one at some point in their lives and I would bet that no one treated your loved ones like that. Landru you could have redeemed yourself by realizing how much of an idiot you are and just apologized for the obsurd comment you made… but you didn’t, you continued to try and justify your horrible comment. When the terrible day comes when you lose a loved one I hope that no one feels compassion for you. I am not saying I hope people treat your loved one this way because I do not wish death on anyone but I do hope that people treat you like crap when you lose a loved one because that is how you are treating many people right now. Also, no one knows exactly what happened to O.J. so it would probably be smart to hush before you know what happened. Maybe you should also apologize to the many people you offended and specifically to his family because it is obvious that your comments were obsurd and uncalled for.
I also do want to say that I did know O.J. from work and from the bit that I was around him he was a very good kid and there was nothing about him that you could dislike. I am praying for his family for them to make it through this tragedy.

This is very disgusting. A young man has lost his life. There are people on here leaving unaceptable comments. I lost a 12 yr old cousin to a car accident and less than 12 hours before another cousin (25) to carbon monoxide poisoning. Why do people have to leave such stupid comments. I really do feel for this young mans family and friends. It sounds like he was really loved. I will keep you all in my prayers. This is such a sad situation. So many of our young people are being killed. Its a tragedy. To the family and friends of this young man. Hang in there. Try to ignore the ignorance of others. Unless you have been through it yourself you cannot begin to understand the devastation that these poor people are going through.

Okay first of all “Landru” you are a horrible person!! OJ was my FRIEND and I am devestated right now. Everyone needs to realize that he was a wonderful person and if people are not going to give their condolences to his friends and family, they should not comment.
