MOUNT STERLING, Ohio—A 20-year-old man was killed when his vehicle struck a culvert and rolled on its top Sunday evening.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The West Jefferson post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continued to investigate a fatal crash that happened on state Route 56, southeast of mile marker 21, in Madison County.

The accident happened at about 6:13 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said John M. Roush, 20, of Williamsport was driving a 2002 two-door Pontiac Sunfire.

A crash-scene investigation indicated Roush was traveling southeast bound on S. R. 56 when his vehicle went left of center and off the left side of the roadway.

The vehicle struck a culvert and rolled on its top in a ditch.

Roush was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol was not suspected.

Roush was not wearing his safety belt, according to troopers.

The crash remained under investigation.
