Brothers Start Web Site; Connect Jobs With Unemployed

COLUMBUS, Ohio—It doesn’t take long to see the effects of the recession around Central Ohio.

Joseph Gessese has a job working on mortgages, but said he’s watched far too many people lose their jobs, NBC 4‘s Marcus Thorpe reported.

“You want to do something about it,“ Gessese said. “There are a lot of qualified people not finding (jobs) if there is one place to go.“

So he created http://www.OhioStateList.com with his brother Faris.

The Web site brings those two groups together—from posting your resume to finding jobs available now.

The Web site is giving hope.

“We want to inspire. That is not the end of the world. You can get up and move forward,“ Faris Gessese said.

The Web site breaks down jobs by zip code and with more than 2,000 people already signed up, all that’s left is finding success stories.

The Web site is free and video resumes will be available soon.

They said there might be some advertising potential for the Web site eventually, but for now, they want it to be a helpful service and hope to hold a free job fair for their members very soon.

Praises and blessings to you for trying to help people.  Instilling hope.  When people lose hope, that’s when the going gets really rough and scary.  Thank you!

I would just like to say “thank you” to these guys. Nice to see someone trying to help out their “neighbors” during these unsteady times. Not enough good news such as this being reported these days….keep up the great work guys.
