Craigslist Mix-Up Saves Cats

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio—An apparent online mix-up has led to a long-distance cat rescue, from St. Pauls, N.C., to Youngstown, Ohio.
A Craigslist ad for 15 cats available in St. Pauls somehow wound up in the Web site’s Youngstown section, where the director of a local no-kill shelter saw it.
Maria Guyan says she contacted the Robeson County Animal Shelter in North Carolina, whose director had placed the ad and wasn’t sure how it got misdirected.
Guyan calls it fate. When she learned that the facility 600 miles away planned to euthanize the animals in a few days, she mobilized volunteers in four states to save the cats and bring them
to Youngstown.
They arrived May 9. Guyan says one has been adopted, and she’s confident the rest will be, too.

I am so very grateful to God that these cats were saved and are now waiting in a safe place for their forever homes.
Please support your local animal shelters and rescue groups. Cat Welfare, Colony Cats and Cozy Cat Cottage are just a few of the wonderful shelters for the cats. Please remember to Spay and Neuter and if you don’t have the money to check the low cost venues for help.
