Granville Woman Dies In Crash On SR 16
GRANVILLE, Ohio—A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on state Route 16 Tuesday morning, according to Ohio State Patrol Granville post.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Tuesday.
The fatal crash involved a FedEx truck and a car and happened close to 9:30 a.m.
The accident was on SR 16 at Ashcraft Drive, which is west of the village.
State Route 16 westbound and eastbound lanes were closed until 1 p.m. or so.
OSP Granville post released these crash details: Marilyn Kasson, 60, of Granville was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus on SR 16 westbound when she lost control on the ice-covered roadway and went left of center. Her vehicle struck an eastbound FedEx truck driven by Leslie M. Redd, 44, of Pataskala who sustained minor injuries.
Kasson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Licking County coroner’s office.
Seat belts were in use by both drivers. Alcohol was not considered a factor.
The crash remained under investigation.
