The accident was at 4545 Fisher Rd. and happened before 3:15 p.m. That’s near the Eddie Bauer Warehouse.

Authorities closed Fisher Road between Phillpi Road and just west of Hilliard Rome Road.

The law-enforcement vehicle involved is a Bratenahl police cruiser.

The officer is from the city of Bratenahl, which is a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.

He was in town for training, according to officials. He was trying to turn his cruiser around when the accident happened, according to CPD.

Authorities could not confirm who was at fault currently.

The 23-year-old female driver of the other involved vehicle was transported to Mount Carmel West Medical Center in stable condition.

A 1-year-old baby also was involved in the accident. The baby was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in stable condition.

The officer was extricated from the vehicle by 3:45 p.m. It took crews 20 minutes to get the officer out of the cruiser.

The officer was transported to Mount Carmel West Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

It always surprises me when people correct other people’s grammar by using incorrect grammar! In the previous comment, “Don’t be in such a rush to beat WSYX or WBNS to the punch, your only making yourself look bad.“ it should read “...to the punch; you’re only…“ Perhaps this person should proof his/her comments before posting!

And happy Administrative Professionals Day to all my admin friends out there!

I see that NBC4 is really priding itself on accuracy, once again. Not only are their facts inaccurate, their grammar is horrible! PLEASE PROOFREAD BEFORE YOU POST A STORY. It’s not just this story, at least one a day has something misspelled or is grammatically incorrect. Don’t be in such a rush to beat WSYX or WBNS to the punch, your only making yourself look bad.

Pretty much. He pulled out and was trying to turn around by cutting across the road and Jayce’s (baby) dad couldn’t stop in time b/c he was too close to the cop to slam on the breaks.

This news department is as useful as the G.C. “I didn’t see anything” Department.

It wasn’t a female. There were no girls. I was there andw witnessed it. Channel 6 interviewed me. The driver was a man. I was taking care of his son while the other witnesses were making sure him and cop were alright.
