Man Trapped Under Pickup Dies In Crash

ORIENT, Ohio—A man was killed in a rollover crash early Sunday.

All of the following information was taken from an official release.

The Pickaway County sheriff’s office continued to investigate a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at 1:11 a.m. in the area of 11589 Darby Creek Rd. in Darby Township in Pickaway County.

A 1997 Chevrolet truck driven by 39-year-old Jeffrey S. Dunn of Orient was traveling southbound on Darby Creek Road.

Dunn lost control of the vehicle on a right curve and skidded off the left side of the roadway.

The vehicle continued sliding in the ditch line, struck a culvert and overturned.

Dunn was ejected from the vehicle and trapped under the overturned vehicle.

Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant Pickaway County Coroner Dr. Nancy Alkire.

The accident remained under investigation.
