I bet he thought he could go to Detroit and save GM.
You made a good point jenz_zen. I do sympathize with him, not to condone his behavior, yet he may be lashing out due to his desire of parental affection. It is good that people take in children with no where else to go, yet it is difficult for them to provide the affection of a true parent.
Home life doesn’t have to be miserable for a teen to run away, all they have to do is simply not get their way. Most teenagers would not be thinking about being homeless if they ran away. A lot of teenagers think they know everything and it is something cool to do because they can then do what they want.
Notice they say he ran away after having an argument with his GUARDIAN. Where are the parents? and what would make a kid of 15 feel so miserable that he thought life being homeless would be better? I’m not saying “poor little fella, let’s all feel sorry for him” but there is typically much more to any story than meets the eye.
All I can say is what a self-centered spoiled brat! His family was probably going out of their minds! His family should hug and kiss him when he gets home then whoop his behind and ground him!
OMG, he is 15 years old, how in the world did he get to Detroit, MI? Well at least they found him unharmed, hopefully he learned a lesson from this ordeal.
