Boy Scouts Back Selling Trees After Gunpoint Robbery

COLLEGE HILL, Ohio -- A group of Cincinnati-area Boy Scouts who were robbed at gunpoint last year while selling Christmas trees are back in business.

Two scouts and their fathers were knocked to the ground last December by three men, who used a sawed-off shotgun to take about $350. The troop had earned the money by selling trees for $25 each.

This year, the scouts have already sold 111 trees at their stand in North College Hill, just outside Cincinnati. That's up sharply from the 60 trees they had sold at this time a year ago.

Brad Hancock, an assistant Scoutmaster, says local residents haven't forgotten about the robbery. He says it's surprising how supportive everyone has been.

The scouts still have about 260 white and Scotch pines left.
