There’s a red-haired girl running up and down the street calling “Auntie Em! Auntie Em!“ and a bubbly blond sitting on my porch saying “Toto too!“ over and over. Also found a tan barbecue grill cover hanging in one of our pines. ;^)
KUDOS !!!!! City Of Columbus Recreation & Parks Forestry Department. I would like to say that I am truly dissappointed that nothing is ever said about these guys. Throughout all of our recent storms these guys are out there clearing our city streets, and nothing is ever said about them. My husband works for this department and was called out last night about 6:45 worked until almost 5 this morning and is to return to work at 7:30 all of this after working his 8 hour shift yesterday. I think we should at least recognize these guys for their hard work and dedication, they are leaving their families (most who were in the dark ) and work through the most dangerous part of the storms(like they always do) and then I hear that AEP says its too dangerous and they won’t get started until 6. So if no one else can say it I will. Thanks Guys you deserve much more than you get !!!!
The wind was sooo bad that is broke my brothers window and tore down part of my fence. The power keeps going out also.
I live in Olentangy Commons, off of 315 and Henderson and we have no electricity—it creates a new spin to studying for midterms. It sounds like waves are crashing into our windows as well.
I saw Miss Gulch on her bicycle outside my bedroom window. She looked at me, cackled crazily and turned into a witch on a broomstick. Geez, people it’s just a thunderstorm and some wind. Don’t let Jym Ganahl spook you!
Hail was hitting my car on Lane Avenue and Kenny Rd. by OSU at about 5:15pm. It didn’t last long.
There was a double rainbow in the sky when I got to Hilliard.
i was sittin in the libarey in grove city when all of a sudden the wids started howling and the rain was pouring and it looked as if we were in the middle of a hurricane the winds and rain lasted about 10min i walked out as thunder and lighting were in the distance it was a pretty amazing sight to see
I recorded a wind gust at 31 mph in my backyard on my Davis Vantage Pro weather station. This gust came at 5:45 p.m.
In Blacklick on the corner of E. Broad St. and Waggoner the winds made hte power go out for a minute or 2 aroung 5:35 and now at 6:10pm the winds are almost gone its still raining and the sky to the east is black but the sky to the west is pink, blue and white. you can see the line of clouds.
live in the Orient area, around 5:15 heavy gusts of wind, rain and maybe hail came through. Now we’re in the dark, no power. Went out about 35 min ago. Sun came out briefly.
