Buckeyes Selected In Day 1 Of NFL Draft

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Several former OSU players are chosen in the first and second rounds of the 2009 NFL draft.

Cornerback Malcolm Jenkins was chosen as the No. 14 pick in the first round by the New Orleans Saints.

Jenkins was previously recognized with the Thorpe Award as the top college defensive back.

Running back Chris “Beanie” Wells, was selected by Arizona as the No.31 pick in the first round.

James Laurinaitis waas chosen as the No. 35 pick—in the second round—by St. Louis. 

Wide receiver Brian Robiskie was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round as the No. 36 pick.
