COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man was charged and bonded in the triple-fatal accident that killed two teens and an unborn baby over the weekend.

Nicolette Hymes, 18, was killed when the driver of a Ford Thunderbird crossed into her lane and struck her BMW on Morse Road Saturday evening, police said.

Kristen Pressel, whom police said was a passenger in the Thunderbird, also was killed.

Police charged Brian M. Green Jr., 26, with three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide late Wednesday.

Green Jr. of Gahanna appeared in court Thursday morning. His bond was set at $250,000, NBC 4's Tacoma Newsome reported from the courtroom.

CPD's accident-investigation unit confirmed there were three people in the Thunderbird at the time of the crash: Brian Green Sr., Green Jr. and a pregnant Pressel. Pressel was a back-seat passenger.

Officials believe Green Jr. was driving the Thunderbird because a witness said a man was hanging outside of the passenger side at the time of the crash. That passenger fit the description of Green Sr.

Prosecutors also believe the incident that led to the fatal crash was started by Green Jr. Prosecutors believe Green Jr., who has a suspended driver's license, was street-racing.

Newsome reported Green Jr. has a long criminal history and was out on bond for a breaking-and-entering charge the day of the accident.
