2 Men Shot After Verbal Altercation

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Two men were shot Thursday evening during what is being called a verbal altercation.

According to Columbus police, 30-year-old Lamonte Grooms and 22-year-old Thomas Penn were in the area of Pairwood Avenue and Livingston Avenue at about 8:40 p.m.

Police said a verbal altercation occurred between the men and a group of unidentified individuals.

After the argument, someone fired several shots, and Grooms and Penn were struck.

Grooms was treated at an area hospital and Penn was treated at the scene.
