COLUMBUS, Ohio —Central Ohio Crime Stoppers joins forces with University Area Crime Stoppers to help solve a violent crime, and police believe the smallest tip could be the one that solves the investigation.
It happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 30.
Security cameras in the area could only catch a vehicle and a glimpse of two figures in shadows when two armed men assaulted an employee at the Uniprint Store on Milkin Way.
The thieves made off with cash and left employees with injuries that required stitches.
Only blurry shots were captured of the suspects leaving the scene.
Investigators say they can only tell it was two black men, but they think the real evidence is the suspect’s vehicle.
It is a white 1993-1995 Cadillac Seville SLS with back door guards and a sunroof.
Authorities tell NBC 4, the identity of the car itself could solve the crime—it is a very distinctive vehicle.
Crime Stoppers and University Crime Stoppers have posted a reward of up to $2,500 for any information received by Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
Anyone with information about the crime was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477) or e-mail at http://www.stopcrime.org. You also can text a tip to “CRIMES” or 274637 with a keyword of TIP125.
