Accuser Testifies In Pediatrician’s Sex-Crime Trial
Published: October 7, 2009
HAMILTON, Ohio—A man who claims a southwest Ohio pediatrician molested him as a teenager has testified the doctor gave him money to help buy more than a dozen cars in recent years.
The now 24-year-old man was on the stand Wednesday at the trial of 53-year-old Dr. Mark Blankenburg, one of two twin brother pediatricians accused of sex crimes involving minors in Hamilton.
The accuser said in court that he was first molested by Blankenburg at the age of 13. He went on to testify that he went back to the doctor as an adult asking for money numerous times, and received payments of $500 to a few thousand dollars that went toward the vehicles.
Defense attorneys say Blankenburg was a victim - of extortion.
His twin, Dr. Scott Blankenburg, faces trial in April.
