COLUMBUS, Ohio – Authorities say on Thursday just after 8:30 p.m., a man and two acquaintances entered Ann and Mike’s Bar at 3408 E. Main Street, stayed for 28 minutes and left.

One of the men, however, returned, pulled out a gun and fired one round into the ceiling of the bar, police said.

The suspect pointed the gun at the bartender and patrons, ordered everyone to the ground and to empty their pockets before demanding money from the bartender, police said.

During the robbery, the suspect fired a second shot into the ceiling.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8” tall, weighing 150 pounds.

He was wearing a black or dark gray hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Columbus Police at (614) 645-4545.  Anonymous calls can be made to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at (614) 461-TIPS.

But… But…

Guns are ILLEGAL in bars!

Surely this story can’t be true. That would mean that criminals can just ignore any law they want to!
