COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police had to call a medic for their suspect Sunday afternoon. He had some teeth marks in his thigh.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

A homeowner on Kelton Avenue on the city’s East Side told police he answered the door to a man who asked for a glass of water.

The homeowner allowed the man into his home. When the elderly homeowner left the room for a moment, he found his car keys missing and saw the vehicle being driven away.

The homeowner called the police and reported his vehicle missing, and a nearby officer pulled over the vehicle.

The driver allegedly tried to flee the scene.

The officer’s K-9 partner chased the suspect and stopped him with a bite to his thigh.

The suspect was taken into custody on outstanding warrants after medics checked him over.
