CPD Looks For Suspects In Fatal Shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A man was fatally shot on the city’s East Side Wednesday evening.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was called to the 150 block of North 17th Street on reports of a shooting close to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

LeMarcus D. Skipper, 22, was discovered inside the apartment and was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, CPD said. 

He was transported to Grant Medical Center.

Skipper died as a result of his injuries.

Preliminary investigation indicated two or more individuals entered the apartment and at least one of the individuals pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

Detectives were following up on information provided by witnesses to identify the suspect(s).

Police didn’t have a motive currently.
