CPD Searches For Shooting Suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Columbus police continued to investigate an early morning shooting on the city’s East Side.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Officers were called to the 4600 block of Ellery Drive at about 1:50 a.m. Friday on reports of a shooting.

Officers found 25-year-old Rashaun Grigsby outside of a residence with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Grigsby was transported to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.

Assault squad detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene but didn’t uncover a motive or a suspect.

Anyone with information on the felonious assault was asked to call CPD’s assault squad at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
