Ex-Morgue Worker Admits To Having Sex With 2 More Bodies

CINCINNATI—A former morgue worker already in prison for having sex with a body awaiting autopsy has pleaded guilty in two more cases of sexually assaulting corpses.

Fifty-six-year-old Kenneth Douglas pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of gross abuse of corpse. He faces a possible sentence of three years at a Dec. 10 hearing.

Douglas was a night attendant at the Hamilton County morgue in Cincinnati for 16 years ending in 1992. He is serving a three-year sentence after being convicted for having sex with the body of an 19-year-old murder victim in 1982.

The latest charges involved two 1991 female homicide victims.

Prosecutors said at the time of the indictments that they were based on DNA testing.

I agree. Although completely disturbing and gross, I don’t think so much effort should be put into keeping this man in jail. He needs to be in a mental institution, not jail. If it was me or my mother or whoever, I don’t think I would feel that it was worth the effort of spending tax dollars to keep him incarcerated in jail. Maybe give him a vasectomy and a lobotomy?

I’m not sure what’s more disturbing, what this guy did or the fact that we are concentrating who knows how much money to find out who did it, 27 years and 18 years after the fact.
I’m not trying to minimize the offense here, but I have to imagine the are far more serious unsolved crimes the investigators of Hamilton County could be concentrating man power and tax dollars to solve.
