WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio—Fire investigators announced Monday that a fatal house fire from 2008 was the result of arson.

The fire occurred shortly after midnight on April 6, 2008 at a home on Lily Chapel-Opossum Run Road in West Jefferson.

Billi Romans and her two children, Ami and Caleb, died as a result.

The children’s father escaped the home, which was equipped with working smoke detectors.

Investigators said they ruled out all accidental causes and evidence indicates the fire was intentionally set.

A Blue Ribbon Arson reward of $5,000 was issued for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call the state Fire Marshal’s Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau at 800-589-2728 or the Madison County Sheriff’s office at 740-852-1212.

I can’t believe this. It makes me so unbelievably mad, I can’t even…I hope they find whoever did this and take them down as hard as they can. We lost 3 amazing people because of whoever it was.

We miss you, ABC.
