FBI: Suspect Waits In Line To Rob National City

GROVE CITY, Ohio—Friday marked Central Ohio’s first bank robbery of 2009, the FBI said.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Monday.

A man entered the National City Bank at 2500 Stringtown Rd. and after waiting in line, showed a robbery note to a teller demanding money, according to the FBI. That was at 12:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2.

Although no weapon was observed, the teller complied and gave the suspect money from her drawer. 

The robbery suspect took the money and fled the bank, the FBI said. 

The suspect was described as a white male who was approximately 40 to 50 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray toboggan, dark scarf around his neck and gray OSU sweatshirt. 

If you can identify the suspect, call your local authorities.
