BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio—Authorities asked for the public’s help to find the person responsible for an arson at a golf course.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Investigators ruled a Monday, June 22, fire at Indian Ridge Golf Course clubhouse fire as arson.

The course is on Oxford Millville Road in Butler County.

Investigators are seeking information on one or more Franklin County residents who may have information about how the fire started.

Tips indicated the suspect(s) may live in, or have connections to, Dublin or Clintonville.

“The public has provided valuable information that has helped investigators narrow the focus of this investigation,” Interim State Fire Marshal Donald C. Cooper said. “We believe that someone in Franklin County has more information about this fire and hope they come forward to help us bring this case to a successful conclusion.”

The fire, reported at 12:40 a.m., was determined to be arson after investigators ruled out all accidental causes and found evidence of criminal intent.

The clubhouse was completely destroyed, and the fire caused an estimated $1 million in damage.

No one was injured in the fire.

A Blue Ribbon arson reward for as much as $5,000 has been posted at the property.

Anyone with information was asked to call the State Fire Marshal’s fire & explosion investigation bureau at 800-589-2728.
