COLUMBUS, Ohio—A group of people forced their way into a South Linden area residence and assaulted two females, according to CPD.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

A group of males and females forced their way into an unlocked front door of a home on the 1200 block of East 26th Avenue at about 4:09 p.m. Sunday, CPD said.

Once inside, the group assaulted two females inside the residence.

Elizabeth Webb, 60, owns the home and witnessed the assaults.

The suspects were described as black males and females in their 20s.

CPD listed the offense as aggravated burglary, but the report didn’t say anything was taken from the home.

Anyone with information was asked to contact CPD’s assault squad at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-645-8477 (TIPS).

Knowing the neighborhood where this happened, I bet odds these two women had beef with their attackers…it was by no means a random act of violence. If NBC4 would do some digging, I am sure they would find it was a provoked scenario. Not saying the women deserved what they got, but who knows the background information. Just another example of the media creating something out of nothing.

I keep my doors locked and a loaded 12 gauge where I can get to it easily.  I also have a concealed carry permit and a sub compact .45 for when I’m out and about

I live in a very safe neighborhood, but I ALWAYS keep my door locked and I have a firearm. You can never be too safe! I’m ready to start picking them off at the door!

Thats why you have a right to own a weapon.
Start dropping this trash with some FMJ’s and see if crime starts slowing down.

Ugh! Keep your doors locked people.  I live in a very safe area and still keep my door locked 24/7.

On another note, why did they have to force their way in if the door was unlocked?  Couldn’t they just have turned the knob?

Arm yourselves, people!  Wake up to the fact that the police cannot protect you no matter how fast you can dial 911.  Buy a firearm and learn how to use it.  It is YOUR duty to protect yourself and your family, NOT the duty of the police. Numerous courts have stated that the police “have no specific duty to protect”. And, if Mikey Coleman has his way, this city will become far more dangerous after the tax increase is refused by the voters, since he plans on cutting YOUR safety in favor of HIS budget.  Arms yourselves NOW and refuse to become a victim.

I hope the ladies are ok.  At least they aren’t on their way to West Virginia to serve as sex slaves.

And that’s why I own a weapon!
