CPD: Shooting Victim Crashes Vehicle Into Tree

UPDATE: CPD releases more information after a shooting victim crashes his vehicle into a tree Monday night.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A man crashed his vehicle into a tree after he was shot at least two times Monday night.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Richard Bouyer, 23, was driving his vehicle in the area of 1135 Olmstead Ave. on the city’s Northeast Side at about 9:06 p.m.

An unknown person(s) shot at Bouyer while he was in his vehicle, CPD said.

The vehicle was struck multiple times, and Bouyer was shot at least two times, according to police.

Columbus police said someone might have been chasing and firing shots at him.

Bouyer crashed into a tree on Olmstead Drive.

Bouyer was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said they don’t have witnesses or suspects currently.
