Man Fatally Shot During Robbery Attempt

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A man was shot and killed inside his home in Columbus’ King Lincoln District Saturday night.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was dispatched to 1202 N. 22nd St. on reports of a shooting at 9:50 p.m.

When the officers arrived they found Nathaniel Jones inside the residence.

Jones had been shot in the chest, police said.

Jones was transported to Grant Medical Center where he died from his injuries at 11:31 p.m.

CPD said Jones was shot during a robbery attempt.

Police said they don’t have any suspects currently and asked the public for information.

Anyone with information on the city’s 67th homicide of 2009 was asked to call CPD’s homicide squad at 614-645-4730.
