LANCASTER, Ohio—A man was sentenced to 22 years after he stabbed his ex-girlfriend outside of a Thornville establishment.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Licking County sheriff’s deputies said bartender Tamara Bailey was attacked while she was opening Cuda Jo’s August 8, 2008.

Authorities said 42-year-old John E. Young stabbed Bailey, who was his former girlfriend, outside of the Shell Beach Road bar.

Young pleaded guilty to felonious assault, robbery, burglary and kidnapping March 11, 2009.

Young was sentenced to 22 years in prison in a Fairfield County courtroom last Thursday, but six years of the sentence were to be suspended with five years of community service.
