Man Indicted In Connection With Rax Arson

LONDON, Ohio—A Madison County man was indicted for his alleged connection with a fire at the London Rax Restaurant in late 2008.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Division of State Fire Marshal.

Adam Coudy, 24, of Mount Sterling, was indicted for his alleged connection with a Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, fire at the Rax Restaurant, 110 W. High St.

He was indicted Friday by a Madison County Grand Jury for aggravated arson

Coudy was to be charged with one count of aggravated arson, two counts of arson, one count of vandalism and one count of breaking and entering.

The fire completely destroyed the restaurant.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators said evidence collected at the scene and extensive interviews led to the indictment.

A court date is pending, per the county prosecutor’s office.

The Division of State Fire Marshal (SFM), the Madison County sheriff’s office and the London police and fire departments continued to investigate the arson fire.
