COLUMBUS, Ohio—A man was arrested and charged with murder after CPD said he stabbed a man multiple times.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Just after midnight police were called to 1295 E. Columbus St. on a reported stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found 58-year-old Larry Heard stabbed multiple times.

Heard was transported to Grant Medical Center where he later died from his injures.

The investigation revealed 41-year-old Arlest Flowers was on his porch at 996 Miller Ave. when an unknown male started shooting at him.

Flowers ran into his house and exited several minutes later with a large kitchen knife, CPD said.

Flowers approached Heard, assuming he had something to do with the shooting, and stabbed him several times.
