COLUMBUS, Ohio—A dispute between neighbors ended in a shooting early Thursday, police said.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was called out to the 1900 block of Denune Avenue on the city’s North Side close to 1:30 a.m.

Earsell Jimmy Brown, 30, was disputing with his neighbors outside his apartment: neighbors were banging on his door and threatening him, CPD said.

Brown became agitated, stepped outside with rifle and started firing his weapon at the neighbors, police said in a report.

Enrique J. Curry, 30, was shot twice, according to CPD.

Curry was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Brown was arrested and was charged with felonious assault.

Oh another thought…and though I don’t wish harm on Mr. EJ he deserved what he received just for being part of it.  I would have taken similar action though firing into the air would have been a better alternative.

Welcome to another sad Columbus GHETTO!  Bunch of unevolved cave people is how I see it.

The lack of details is due to the lack of response from witnesses, in this neighborhood everyone keeps thier business to themselves. All i know is that EJ better be alright or the neighborhood is most likely going to end up a mess.

why were all the neighbors ganging up on him? sounds like possibly self defense to me. what exactly was the “dispute”? what’s with the lack of details in these news stories???

what was he supposed to do? call police? wait for them for a half an hour to come to scare the neighbors away so that they could come back after the police left? get a restraining order against people who live next door? i am not criticizing anyone. i am just curious…
