AKRON, Ohio - An Ohio man has pleaded guilty to the murder of his mother and brother found buried behind their burned-out home near Akron in April.

The prosecutor plans to seek a sentence of 30 years to life in prison for 40-year-old Michael Knudson. He pleaded guilty Thursday in Akron to two counts of murder, aggravated arson and evidence tampering.

His 64-year-old mother, Patricia Knudson, and 42-year-old brother, John Knudson, had been beaten. Their bodies were found six days after fire destroyed their foreclosed Hudson home.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 20.

Defense attorney Donald Hicks declined comment.
