Gahanna police continued to investigate a New Year’s Eve accident where a vehicle hit a retaining wall.
GAHANNA, Ohio—Gahanna police continued to investigate a New Year’s Eve accident.
NBC 4’s Mikaela Hunt reported with the FAST FACTS.
The crash occurred on Ridenour Road at Carlin Court East.
Police said a Dodge Dakota hit a retaining wall and the driver was arrested.
The man who owns the property where that retaining wall is located said this is the fifth time he’s seen a car end up in his yard.
Property owner Eric Shultz was concerned because Ridenour Road, at that point, actually is a bike trail that allows cars to pass through it.
Those cars must maintain the 15-mph-speed limit.
Shultz said cars go well above that limit and end up in his yard such as the one on New Year’s Eve.
He would like to see police step up patrols in that area.
