HAMILTON, Ohio—Prosecutors in Ohio say they expect more than a dozen additional witnesses to testify in the case of one of two twin brother pediatricians charged with molesting patients.
The trial of 53-year-old Dr. Mark Blankenburg begins its second week Monday in Hamilton, about 30 miles north of Cincinnati. Dr. Scott Blankenburg goes on trial in April. Both brothers have pleaded not guilty.
Four men accuse Mark Blankenburg of molesting them as children and trying to buy them off with money and drugs. The accusers, their family members and girlfriends were on the stand last week.
The defense says the doctor is a victim of extortion and lies.
Defense lawyer Michael Shanks says he doesn’t think it will be “necessary” for Blankenburg to testify.
