A West Side man, whom detectives says confessed to raping as many as 30 local boys, pleads guilty to raping three neighborhood children.
COLUMBUS, Ohio—A West Side man whom detectives said confessed to raping as many as 30 local boys pleaded and was sentenced Monday.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Wilfred Creighton, 47, pleaded guilty to three counts of rape, four counts of gross sexual imposition, and one count each of importuning and pandering obscenity involving minors.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a Franklin County Common Pleas courtroom. He had faced a maximum of 32 years behind bars.
Creighton, of Union Avenue, was arrested in February 2007 for allegedly soliciting sex from an undercover deputy posing as a teen online.
That was when detectives said he confessed to molesting as many as 30 local boys since the early ’80s.
Detectives said that investigation led to the discovery of child pornography in his home, some of which was homemade.
He was charged with the rape and gross sexual imposition of three neighborhood juvenile victims in January 2008.

linda88 you might be able to go to the courthouse,s website if they have one and check on courtcases or maybe you can find out online if you search hard enough.But i would think these cases should be made public or ch 4 might be able to help with that.
I just read another article that said that a man in Delaware County raped a 6 year old boy TWICE, and he got all of 8 years!! Not only that, this guy (Neil Myers) also has a juvenile record of rape. Hmmmmm…I wonder if he’ll rape any more little boys when he gets out in 8 years? I want to know who the judges are who are giving these ridiculous sentences. I want to go down and protest this. I’m tired of this. 300 is right, people get more time for robbery and drugs.
How do I find out who the judges are in cases like these?
12 years in prison is along time and i seriously doubt he will last that long. atsa la vista you piece of crap.
Oh he’ll get “his” in prison. They don’t care much for child molestors in there. 12 years is a joke though. They need to turn him over to his victims and let them carry out his “sentence” in whatever manner they see fit!
oh yeah i almost forgot 12yrs? what kinda plea deal was that? guy robs bank dont hurt anyone gets more time and it should be punished dont get me wrong but these creeps damage a child forever!! Those children wont forget about what he done to them in 12yrs i bet that.

umm im sorry but he’ll live better in prison than out here. as soon as he gets there he’ll be protected and pampered by the guards, and anyone who messes with him with receive the strictest of penaltys bull crap yes he should have did this 20yrs ago it would be differnt thier going to put him in a soft prison london or madision, hes going to camp and that a shame he should be all excuted. theres no cure for that stuff
Everybody needs to give thanks that they have TV in prison and lots of inmates who are dads and grndpas watch the news….. They know he is on the way and they will “welcome” him.
