SWAT Finds Parolee Hiding Under Home

NEW LEXINGTON, Ohio—SWAT arrested a male and a female after being called out to a Perry County home to serve a warrant for a parole violation.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Authorities surrounded 418 W. Lincoln St. at 11:30 a.m. Thursday to serve a warrant on 39-year-old Robert Shipley, according to Sgt. Kevin Starrett with Perry County sheriff’s office.

Shipley was wanted on a parole violation on an original charge of felonious assault.

Fairfield County SWAT was called to the scene because there were concerns about Shipley being armed.

SWAT found Shipley hiding under the home at 2:34 p.m.

He was taken into custody.

A female who told authorities Shipley wasn’t at the address also was arrested and faces obstruction charges.
