Police: Man Hid Body Parts In Home; Wife Missing

CINCINNATI—A man who reported his wife missing over the weekend was arrested Monday on charges of tampering with evidence and obstructing official business after police said they found human remains in his house.

A judge ordered John Strutz of Delhi Township held on more than $1 million bond.

Strutz’s attorney, Simon Groner, says his client couldn’t find his wife, Kristan Strutz, on Saturday and called police after checking with a relative who also didn’t know where she was. Groner said Strutz, 30, gave police permission to search his home, and that as far as he knew, the only items seized were several bottles of bleach.

Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Betsy Sundermann said in court that Strutz concealed human remains but gave no other information.

Groner had asked for a low bond because the couple has young children, but authorities persuaded Municipal Court Judge Lisa Allen to set a high bond while they continue the investigation.

Delhi Township police referred calls Monday to the prosecutor’s office, where spokeswoman Julie Wilson said there was no further information for release.

I’m glad they added to the article to clarify but the writer did nothing to attract me. I read all the articles, every day. I still think the person who authorized the first article with no facts should be fired.

Yeah, but you and I both read it for its titilating headline, so the writer did something right.  I totally agree that there should be (no pun intended) meat in the article.

More details tonight at 6!!!!

Who wrote this article? Was this man a police officer? How can someone hide body parts to hurt their value? The editor who allowed this article to be published should be fired. What happened to who, what, when, why, and how? There are not enough facts here to make sense of this article.
