Man Arrested, Accused Of Assaulting Church Secretary

GRANVILLE, Ohio—Police said a man suspected of assaulting a church secretary in Granville Wednesday morning has been taken into custody.
According to Granville police, a secretary at the Parish House of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church was assaulted at about 10:20 a.m.
Investigators said the suspect entered the parish house requesting money to buy gas in order to return to Florida.
The secretary informed the suspect that they had no money to give him and referred him to other organizations.
Police said the suspect implied that he had a hidden gun and then proceeded to assault the secretary.
The victim yelled and the suspect fled the building without money.
The victim was not seriously injured.
Granville police arrived and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Jurodt Glimpia Taylor.
Police said Taylor has been known by many aliases and has a long history of violent crimes.
Shortly after 5 p.m., police said Taylor had been taken into custody. Details on his arrest were not immediately available.
