Suspect Hits Teen In Mouth With Handgun

COLUMBUS, Ohio—A male suspect struck a 15-year-old in the mouth with a handgun and fled the North Side scene Thursday evening.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was called to 5860 Roche Dr. at about 5:13 p.m. on reports of a shooting.

Officers found a 15-year-old male victim upon arrival. Officers discovered the juvenile was not shot but had been struck in the mouth with a handgun.

The teen said he walking in the area when a black male approached him. He and the suspect became involved in a physical altercation.

The suspect pulled out a handgun and assaulted the victim. 

The victim said the suspect left the area quickly after the assault.

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital in stable condition where he was treated for his injuries. 

CPD continued to investigate the felonious assault. Anyone with information was asked to call 614-645-4545.
