A man suspected in connection with a shooting that injured two and killed one man is in police custody.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—CPD took a suspect into custody after a triple shooting late last week.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Police have a suspect in custody in connection with Columbus’ 46th homicide of 2009. 

Melvin L. Crawford, 61, was named Friday as a suspect in a triple shooting that occurred Thursday night. 

Saturday, he surrendered to Columbus homicide detectives.

He’s alleged to have fatally shot Ronald Powell, 37, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in front of 225 Wayne Ave. on the city’s West Side. 

Shot, but only wounded, were Louis R. Jackson 33 and 33-year-old William Fowler. 

Crawford was expected to make an initial court appearance Monday.
