COLUMBUS, Ohio—SWAT was called to an East Side residence Monday morning.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD’s SWAT team was called out to an apartment complex in the area of South Hamilton Road and Kingsland Avenue close to 10:15 a.m.

The incident apparently started out of a domestic dispute, and a woman and a small child reportedly were in the apartment with a male suspect who was identified as Wesley Fullen.

Scanner traffic indicated Fullen, 27, threatened to kill police officers and family members if the authorities came to the address.

CPD was on the scene for crowd control.

SWAT used a Taser and apprehended Fullen close to 11 a.m.

Fullen has a previous criminal history.

Fullen was transported to Mount Carmel East Medical Center with a head laceration. He remained in police custody at the hospital.

No more immediate information was available.
