Toy Store Target For Gunmen
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Police are investigating the robbery of an area toy store Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at the Toys R Us store on Gemini Place at about 7 a.m. As the manager was preparing to enter the store, he was approached by two armed suspects.
The suspects ordered the manager to open the door and enter the store, police said.
Once inside, they robbers fired one gunshot in to the store’s roof, located the cash room and ordered the manager to open the door.
Another store employee was in the cash room, preparing to open for the day.
One of the suspects entered and took an undetermined amount of money. The second suspect exited the store and fired a second round of gunshots into the roof. Both suspects fleed the store on foot.
The suspects were described as black males, both about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks.
No injuries were reported.
