CPD: Son Suspect In Mother’s Murder, Sister’s Shooting

A mother is dead, her daughter in critical condition and the person accused of pulling the trigger, their own son and brother.

CPD arrests a suspect who allegedly shot his mother and sister Saturday evening. His mother died from her injuries.
COLUMBUS, Ohio——One suspect was arrested after he allegedly fatally shot his mother and shot his sister.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
CPD was called to 1897 N. Fourth St. #B on the city’s North Side on reports of a shooting at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
Officers found one shooting victim standing on the residence’s back porch and another inside the home.
Victims Julie Neely, 51, and 25-year-old Bethany LaFountain were transported to OSU Medical Center Main.
Julie died from her injuries at the hospital.
Officers stopped 22-year-old suspect Daniel Neely’s vehicle at Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 33 on the city’s East Side and made an arrest at about 7:10 p.m.
David is Julie’s son and LaFountain’s brother.
LaFountain remained in stable condition at the hospital.
CPD charged David with murder.
The family is from Beavercreek, which is near Dayton.
