2 Women Shot On Columbus’ North Side

Two women were recovering Monday morning after sustaining gunshot wounds Sunday on the city’s North Side.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Two women were shot Sunday on the city’s North Side during what appeared to be some type of party, Columbus police said.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Monday.

CPD told NBC 4 that they found one woman with a gunshot wound in her arm and another women who was shot in the abdomen. The woman who was shot in the abdomen ended up in surgery later Sunday evening.

Detectives believe the shooting occurred with more than half-a-dozen people inside the house on Joan place.

“There wasn’t really an argument, but there was some alcohol abuse and some drugs being used in the house,“ Detective Patrick Dorn told NBC 4. “Exactly what set the suspect off, we’re not certain.“

Police are investigating what may have caused the gunfire.
