CINCINNATI—Police in Cincinnati say dozens of shots were fired in a late-night automatic-weapons shootout that left one man wounded.

Police said the shooting began at about 11:45 p.m. Monday after an argument between two groups in the Millvale neighborhood. Police said up to 50 shots were fired.

Police found a 22-year-old man wounded in the leg and also recovered two AK-47 assault rifles in nearby woods. The man’s name wasn’t released immediately.

Police are searching for three people in connection with the shooting.

Yeah I’d say that it is pretty confusing why this story made top headlines for a Columbus news station…

It doesn’t surprise me that nbc4 is misleading us this way. A number of years ago a similar thing happened. Remember when Mike Tyson bit Evander Holiefield’s ear off? A few weeks later, nbc4 had a story with a headline “Tyson Bites Another Person” (or something like that), and when I read the story it was about a dog named Tyson that bit someone. I wrote a letter about the misleading lead-ins to nbc4 chief news editor, but his response was less than professional. He sloughed it off like it was funny. I find it causes us to question the validity of all the news reported by nbc. What do you think?

you would not have bothered to read it if you knew anything about Millvale anyway…not missing anything there.

Tcarp, I agree, it is very annoying to be misled like that.

I believe it’s deliberate, to increase page ‘hits’ and ad revenue.  Just like the discussion forums, except here we provide the content, for free.

I think that they are limited to the amount of charcters they can use per title.

If it’s not Columbus or the immediate surrounding area, how about putting the city name in the title of the story?
I wouldn’t have bothered reading the story had I known it was Cinci.
