COLUMBUS, Ohio—A weekend trip to a video store wasn’t to rent the latest release. One particular customer wanted cash.

The robbery at a Blockbuster store located on East Broad Street on Friday night was all caught on tape.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the robber.

The suspect handed the clerk something to buy. When the clerk rung up the item and opened the register drawer, the suspect jumped the counter and grabs cash.

The suspect is described as a male, black, around 5’10” tall, stocky build and in his late 20’s to early 30’s in age.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a yellow hoodie with “Timberland” written on the front and a light yellow beanie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Columbus Police Robbery squad at 645-4665 or Crime Stoppers at 645-TIPS (4881).
