18 Indicted In Union County Heroin Investigation

MARYSVILLE, Ohio—A several month-long heroin investigation has led to the indictment of 18 people in the Union County area.

The following information was released by Marysville Division of Police:

Those individuals arrested will be held at the Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg, pending arraignment in Union County Common Pleas Court.

While the investigation was primarily directed at Heroin trafficking, the investigation also involved trafficking in other drugs such as marijuana and Oxycontin within the City of Marysville. Investigators seized approximately 112 doses of heroin, along with a small amount of marijuana, and Oxycontin.

Marysville Police investigators worked closely with Union County Prosecuting Attorney David Phillips in obtaining the indictments, and credit his office with helping make the arrests possible. The division also acknowledges the work and cooperation of Director Steve Green and his staff at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification crime lab in London.

Union County Prosecuting Attorney David Phillips credits the Marysville Police for their work. “Heroin is a drug that destroys families and damages communities. We’ve seen an influx of heroin into the area that has led to a rash of crime as addicts seek money to get their next fix. The investigation by the Marysville Police and the arrest of these alleged drug traffickers will, I hope, deter others from getting involved, and make our community a safer place to live.“

I heard from a couple of little “blue birds” that Ms. Fraser was actually used as a “decoy/nark”, in this bust, hence the reason why shes getting it easy, other than the fact that her daddy is the Judge. From my great resources…she WAS in fact, involved in an “adult relationship”, with a couple of the big people (who’s names weren’t on the indictment)...she “protected” her “lovers” from getting busted, hence the reason why they didn’t get an indictment!!! So, she wore a wire, etc., to get some of the others in trouble, to keep the Feds, etc., away from her “lovers”. Here’s the kicker…the Police Chief here in town said “...it’s not over. There’s more indictments to be handed out.“...which leads me to believe that perhaps they talked to her, and MAYBE she DID talk about her “lovers”.

There’s absolutely NO justice, NO FAIR/EQUAL justice, in this County! NONE! Yet, “they” can go out and buy brand new Dodge Charger Police AND Sheriff cars, new Expedition Police and Sheriff S.U.V.‘s, and so on, but when it comes to treating EVERYONE equal, pshhh, yeah right. Not here!

i thought that i was the only one who was feeiling the way that i am feeling. i agree so much about how everyones bond is unreal. i no one in there whos bond is 200,000 now its like there trying to keep a killer off the streets. shea gets a chance to get out and get help. what about everyone else who has the same addiction as she does. just because her charges may be lower then sum others dosent mean anything. just means she didnt get caught as many times as some others. i fill we need better treatment for addicts out there. yes people no right from wrong but when a drug comes in your life and over powers you it does interfer with peoples train of judgment. i also agree with the people that they busted were at the bottom of the list. they need to stop where all the drugs are coming from. cut off the supply totally so that no one can get the devil. they say they need to get the drug dealers off the streets and by all means i do agree. but at the same time these people dont want to sell drugs but they have to sell enough for the day to pay for there habbit the next. its just one big game every day.. and it does take over lifes and it is sad.. my prayers are out there. and yeah they are sending all these drug related crimes to prison but letting rapist and childmelsters out on paroll or stuff like that.. come on

This girl ( Shea Allison Fraser ) the Union County Ohio Judges daughter has already recieved “Special Treatment” She was booked into the Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg Ohio on 10/27/09 at 10:59 p.m.The so called Secret Indictments did not come out until 10/28/09.Out of 18 individuals indicted she was the only one served on 10/27/09.All other 17 individuals were served on 10/28/09.Now that is some form of pecial treatment. This is a fact and can be proven by looking at all the individuals booking dates and times at the jail at the jail website. Why was this allowed and how can they do it so obviously ? It is unfair / I don’t see any special treatment for any one of the seventeen individuals ...

This so called bust was a Big Joke. The citizens of Union County should be upset and out-raged that they even waisted thier tax-payer time and money pursuing these individuals or printing it in the paper. They only got lower level people off the street.Where are the Big Fish at ? No money was seized,No property was seized, they got nothing. The Big Fish are still out there and this did nothing. These people arrested were so far down the list they couln’t even give them some-one,who could give them some-one who could in-turn give them the Big Fish.As of today almost a week later, all are still in jail because the couln’t even afford to post a small bail amount. So I say to every-one what did they really acomplish with all this ? Nothing - Absolutely Nothing ...What a Waste…One big smoke screen and another spin on the Justice System Mary-Go-Round ...

too bad we don’t have treatment-on-demand in this country.  In other words, anyone asking for help/treatment gets it immediately-no two-year waiting lists like now.

Yes, I understand that. It’s ridiculous. I mean, what’s the point of “our” Constitution?

Like I said on the Dispatch, this girl is NOT an outstanding member of society. I know for a fact, right hand on the Bible, that she has way more to do with this than they think. The guy who she was dating, “dealing” with, JUST got out of prison for drugs. From my understanding, he was upset (to say the least) that he was sentenced to prison…well, when he got out, he “lured” her into his trap, got her hooked, etc., and it obviously went downhill from there, JUST so that he could “get revenge” on the local Justice System. Now look, another life ruined.

Of course the judge’s daughter will get a break, as will all defendant’s who have money to buy justice.  Wake up! It’s how our system works.  That’s why thalguy’s post makes so much sense.  When will we learn that harm reduction/legalization/decriminalization is the way to go?  This drug war is unwinnable. Why didn’t we learn from alcohol prohibition?  We’re releasing child molester’s from prison to make room for pot smokers!  It’s crazy!

Rather than feel safer, I just feel like the police have wasted time and money.  The dealers will be replaced by others who think they can operate and not get caught, the users will still have their supplies, nothing will change.

If you switch to a harm reduction strategy, we could destroy the market all while helping addicts get better and lessen the chance of spreading disease and overdose.

Still, much easier for people to get “tough on crime” than it is to use a strategy that has been proven to reduce drug use and associated crime.  After all, a drop in crime would lead to a drop in funding, we can’t have that.

Let’s not forget that Ms. Fraser is the daughter of Judge Fraser here in town. I bet that there’s more people involved and they all should get punished. However, it makes you wonder…being that she’s the daughter of the Judge, will she get a slap on the wrist?
