Firefighters rescue a mother and two children from the roof of their burning home early Thursday.

GROVE CITY, Ohio – A mother and two children were rescued from the roof of their burning home early Thursday morning.

NBC 4 gives you the FAST FACTS.

The fire happened between 2 and 3 a.m. Thursday at a home on Gratz Ridge Road. 

According to fire officials, a mother and two children were on the roof of their home, waiting to be rescued, when the firefighters arrived at the scene. 

The mother was transported to a nearby hospital with burns to the hand. 

Both children also were transported to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation. 

All three were expected to be OK.

No word yet on how the fire started or estimated damage.
